Eibach Lift Coils installed today...very happy!

Just got back from getting my Eibach springs installed today and I am a very satisfied customer. I was looking for a small lift, that wouldn't break the bank, work well with 265/75/16 tires, and not have the nose sit too high when I have my canopy on.

I originally went with a Daystar spacer which was suppose to be a 1" lift but turned out to be 2"'s. The Eibach lift was, as advertised, around 1.5 inches. Plus these new coils ride really nice. Not harsh at all, but really keep the truck planted in the corners and the nose dive is gone when braking. I just used the original blue/yellow bilstein's and they work really well together.

I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a mild lift that improves their handling. No need to worry about a dif drop or alignment issues either.

I forgot to mention they are a nice silver colour as well.

Yeah, at $230 Canadian they are a good buy. It cost me $80 to have them installed. I still need to do an alignment which will be another $80. I wish I had found these before I wasted the money on the Daystar lift. It's hard to find mild lifts for these trucks, everything is usually 2.5 and higher.These would be excellent front springs for anyone who wanted to keep stock tire size as well.

 

What do y'all think about teaming these up with 5100s?

 

5100's would be great with these springs, IMO not needed. I found that the TRD shocks worked great with them.

If you wanted to use the 5100's to lift with these coils I wouldn't go past 1.75, maybe not even .85". I don't think it is recommended that you pre-load after market coils with these struts. But .85(5100) + 1.5(eibach) would be a 2.5" lift without too much pre-load and I better shock than stock.

I think your 2.7L will be lighter than my 4.0L so you should get more lift out of the eibach's than I did. They say the FJ Cruiser gets 2.3"'s with these coils.

I have to agree with Chris .85 should be the highest with these coils. There are more windings than the stock coil as well and pre-loading these may not give you enough space for them too compress properly.

 

Hey Chris if I do the toytec tsb aal 1.5" and these coils with 5100s on front set at .85 how would it set. How much lift would I get. I would like to not have to get ucas. How does this set up sound? It would be cheeper than the toytec ultament lift.

 

I would like 2.5" of lift so stock ucas will still work with no prolblem. Do you think this would be a good set up or do you think the toytec ultament lift would be better? Or some thing else all together? Im all ears. I do some off roading mainly at the deer lease (rocky terrain) thats why I want the extra clearance but I still want a good ride not ( harsh / stiff ) and affordable but good. Right now I just have the rear tsb. Plus I do like a slight rake mabey 1/2" to 3/4".

 

I just mesured right now my rear is 2.5" higher than the front. tires are the stock 245s rear is 37.25 front is 34.75". Y'all are awesome tw is awesome.

 

I would suggest you go with the springs first on the stock struts untill you want more lift then get your 5100's.

If you go with the 5100's right away you will still have to remove them, take the strut apart, to set them higher in the future. So you won't be saving any money with the 5100's right away unless you get a package deal from your supplier.

My Truck weighs 4145 pounds and I got around 1.70 inches of lift. Your truck is 3965 pounds so that is 180 pounds less so you "may" get close to 2inches of lift with just the coils...you will definetly get over 1.5 inches.

These springs are really just meant for a mild lift, if you want to go higher you may want to look into other options. I think they would look good on your truck, based on your measurments, I always like the back sitting higher.

 

I phoned Eibach before I got them and they told me that they are a 628# rate.

 

I looked for it before they were installed, just had Eibach and the part# 8292.001. The whole kit is 8292.620.

The Eibach Tech. looked up so I think it was correct. It wasn't on his main screen, probably not something they are normally asked.

 

I hear you, but for mostly road use the OEM's are working well with these coils. The truck is well controlled on the street, offroad may be a different story. Rides a hell of a lot better than it did with that daystar spacer. I should have listened to you guys and stayed away from that.

If the new springs are too strong for the OEM's then I will find out soon enough if they start to fade out or leak.

I will be going to 5100's when these go.
