Lift? No lift?

The life long question lives on... Lift or no lift? I'm trying to see what you guys think. I have an '04 double cab PreRunner and I'd like to level it with some aggressive tires just to have as a street queen. However, I've heard from a lot of my friends who have had lifted trucks say to stay away because you sacrifice ride quality. I'm looking at a quality leveling kit from toytec but I'm curious to see if you guys prefer to level or no. I'm either going to level it or keep it stock ride height and just put some slightly bigger tires with no leveling kit. Any input aside from hating is appreciated.

What lift did you put on yours, and how high? It looks good.

 

thanks man! its a 3 in toytec with OME 881 coils up front and AAL and new procomp shocks in the back. rides great and I love how it looks.

 

Yeah I was debating on the Billy 5100's and a set of Eibach lifting springs for the front and possibly an AAL in the rear.

 

I have a Toytec CO with Bilstein's and my ride quality greatly increased after lifting the front. Naturally, after adding another leaf in the rear it became worse.

 

So you think that the lift in the front increases ride quality but the rear decreases? I've always appreciated the look of a truck with that "squating" look.

Anytime you lift the ride will ride stiffer then stock. The handling is better.

My ride quality is much better after lift and 5100's. I feel like my tires were replaced by pads of butter!
