Brewery is pretty close to me but I understand it is hard to come by on the West Coast.

 

Because the Federal Government has no problems overstepping it's Constitutional authority by abusing the "Commerce Clause"... claiming that if something moves via interstate commerce it has governing authority.

The overstepping is when they go on to claim that if a product HAS moved via interstate commerce, or an item used to produce that product moved via interstate commerce, they have authority.

Here's the thing.

Making pot legal in CA means LE finds you smoking, in possession, whatever. They'll ask for your card. No card? Same deal as before--ticket or arrest. Card? Qty is OK? No problem.

What I don't like is the inconsistency. I think it puts a lot of pressure on LE to try and decipher what's right and wrong-if they arrest and the DA declines to charge, then what's the sense of even arresting them in the first place? For the legal users, they believe they're in the clear and boom! The Feds charge them...and that's way worse than anything the state will throw at them.

Pot's a huge problem here and not just the pot clubs. Big grows (even here in the Bay Area) are bigger problems-not just the qty but the damage they do to the environment, to the wildlife, not to mention the threat of getting shot at (friends came across a grow within a small county park).

Anyway, I guess I'd like the whole thing to be solved at the federal level so we could all move on.
