The El Dorado Outpost link-up worked well last time if we wanna exchange cell phone numbers and driving people in. I think even with good directions I woulda got lost last time.

And nothing starts off an off-roading wheeling like pulling up to the outpost first thing in the morning and seeing a bunch of dirty Yotas lined up and a bunch of stinky hairy guys inside getting morning coffee.

I'm tryin to figure out my food situation. If I wanna do Coleman or Jetboil or PB&J or breaksticks or just Donner party it.

I have a skillet/grill top for a 2 burner Coleman. Jamie you bringing your Coleman again? Can anyone bring a French press or significant size coffee pot to plug into my bed? Do we want to do campsite breakfast or is everyone deadset on Outpost b-fast sammiches? We did communal food last time so as long as it stays in our group we can split it up and we'll be alright. 2 dozen eggs, a couple pounds of bacon, some bread/biscuits, some cheese and we'll be straight. That'd work for Sat morning.

Friday night we could do hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausage again? Easy enough camp food. Figure Sat lunch will be on the trail. Sat night/Sun mornin we prolly don't wanna pack cause then we gotta worry about crap spoiling or someone hauling a loaded cooler.

I have tried a coffee maker in the bed plug, its not enough power at least for my coffee maker (cheapo one). Best thing for coffee is these little coffee packets that are like tea packets that just go in boiling water.

Boo instant coffee. I wish a had a French press for my jetboil. Then we'd be g2g. I can do 30 second hot chocolate though. Nothing like sitting on the tailgate over a valley at 12,000ft when a cold breeze hits and 60 seconds later you got a sweatshirt and a cup of hot cocoa. Don't suppose anyone knows if Gander Mtn sells Jetboil crap? Usually its the smaller camping stores.

French press is the thing that squishes the coffee grinds out of the coffee so you take water, add coffee grinds, boil, when its done you press it down and it pushes all the grinds to the bottom and you pour off the coffee. Old school. At least that's what I put together from that part in blackhawk down. I've seen'em but never actually had to use'em it.
