    It seems the plane needed a part from Shreveport so we had to wait for it to get flown in and installed. We did get to see the t-storm that was around Houston from above; it was pretty cool.

    It seems United has two major problems: finding crews with hours to fly and doing maintance on their planes. Both times flying with them we were late because of these reasons.

    Yep; glad we made it home safe and had a good time overall. We did learn a lot this trip so the next time we go to a resort like that we will know the questions to ask so as to make it a better trip.

    its because they moved their headquarters to Chicago instead of leaving it here in Houston. plus the merger gave out many early retirement packages.but it just feel good to blame Chicago:D

    That would explain a lot. The service was horrible, there was more flights delayed +30 mins then were on time, and over all I have seen Greyhound stations in blizzards with happier customers. The flights were almost all over booked so they were offering "United Vouchers" up to $300 per person if you would accept a later flight.

    your fixning to see all airlines go to this they all overbook to have full planes even southwest will prob start . i believe that the all the fuel hedging(discounts) deals are over. they used to buy jet a for 2.xx something a gallon. now they have to pay 4.xx to 5.xx something a gallon. remember that those wings are fuel tanks (737-800 fuel cap is 6875 gal). really they well all be in trouble if they dint change the way they do business. makes me want drive 10 12 hours rather than fly
