Man that's awesome! You're 5'8" and 195 lbs?!! I'm always struggling to go over 158 lbs.

I think what is hurting me the most though is that I can't bench as much as I used to due to a bad/weak shoulder that was the aftermath of a stroke I had a few years ago. It affects my overhand wide grip pull ups, and heavy benching.

Just to give a comparison of before stroke and after stroke strength, I used to be able to bench 95 lb dummbells (I don't know if "bench" is the right word for dummbells) 5 times, and was able to rep 135 (only 45 plate on each side of the bar) 30 times with perfect form.

My buddies used to make "chuck norris" jokes about me cuz I was the most fit person in our battalion. :D Got recognized in front of the entire battalion too, just another guy and myself out of over 180+ Marines, for being the most fit. 20 pull ups, 17:50 3 mile run, good shit!!!

Now I can barely do 8 reps with 135 on the bench. :(

I can still curl 45 lbs 5x with perfeft form though. :D and I've started working on squats again.

It just sucks that my shoulder holds keeps me from making any good gains, but I'm trying to make up for it in legs now. Still working on my rotator cuff muscles for stability though.

tis true, 200lbs+ doesn't just float, you gotta hold it (pull it) to your back.

From my experience with an injured rotor cuff may I suggest something? Try warming up with a few sets of rotor cuff exercises prior to lifting. I also discovered that using the Hammer chest press (incline) as a press helps avoid pain. Grab the handle in standing position and lift. Alternate shoulders when reps are completed.

So I got the Kre-Alkalyne guys. It says to take 1-2 in the morning and 1 prior to workout. On my days off (Saturday and Sunday) should I still take the morning pills? I would say I do but I'm not sure.

I used to take two after workouts and one in the morning, and just 1 in the morning on off days.

Be prepared to drink a fuckton of water

That has nothing to do with reading. It has more to do with not wanting to click back a page. Either way good work.

stopped creatine and just stacking jack3d with protein and animal paks, as of yesterday I'm back to 152 (cut down to 145 last month) and got my 1 rep max on the bench to 250. Just gotta work on legs more, just been running a lot and doing light calf raises/extensions

but so far :woot: for having a gym body and getting paid to go to the beach! :D
