CAI, 2 1/2" rear lift AAL, Ready Lift strut ext. & diff drop = 2 1/2" front lift, tweaked clutch, Magnaflo Muffler & Custom exhaust 265/75/16lt Nitto Terra Grappler 8ply on stock rims. Huskyliners
Did my lift the other day, and noticed my CV boot has a pin hole in it, I dought any type of water or sand could have made its way in so I opted to replace the boot, got my kit, and got started of removing the front axle, but I'm kinda stuck, I've removed the axle nut, disconnected the lower ball joint, but where do I go next, I cant seem to find any good manuals, any help would be appreciated, I can take pictures if needed to show where I am!

ha, ok I could be wrong, Im waiting for an extra set of hands, but I think I can pull the hub far enough out for the axle to clear and slide out, all I really needed to know, is if removing sway bar, ty rod, or something would make this easier??

when i did mine i left the tie rod attached, however i dont have a sway bar anymore so i can't comment on that. i just unbolted the spindle from the lower control arm via the two bolts at the ball joint. then it swung far enough out to clear the axle and i hook it off to the side outta tha way.

oh and i assume you have already taken the brake caliper off correct??? if not then you need to unbolt it and remove the brake rotor.. also you'll have to unbolt the hub assembly via the 4 bolts that go into the spindle. you can fit a wrench in there and loosen them without actually taking them out of the hub assembly... then pull the hub assembly off.

yea short of the brake line theres nothing in there your really gonna hurt by hand... rotors usually take a tap or two to free them up from the hub then they pull right off.

YAHHHH, finnaly got it done, took me a little while to figure the thing out, the hardest part was by far removing the tulip joint, had to put it in a bench vise and hammer away with a brass rod for what seemed like forever to pop it off, but got it on, greased up a put back in place, I used the factory clampss everywhere except where the inner cv boot connects to the differenetal, there I used a hose clamp for ease of installation!
