Any experience with these?? I know spidertrax are best according to most but are the trail gear ones not worth buying?

anyone interested in a group buy with these?

    specs:

"These bolt on wheel spacers are designed to give you a little more width without changing out your axle for a wider one. Great for use on solid axles conversions to make the front axle similar in width the wider rear axle found on 86 and up Toyota trucks. Bolt pattern is 6 stud on a 5.5" round circle. Features safety graded studs and matching nuts for proper fit. Made from Billet 6061-T6 aluminum. Grade 8 Studs, Grade 10.9 nuts. Five sizes available. Shipped as a set of 2 spacers w/nuts. Every spacer features a precision machined surface. Only high quality nuts and studs that are hardness graded and stamped are used. Six lug wheel spacers fit Toyota FJ Cruiser, Pickups, 4Runners, FJ-40, FJ-60 & FJ80
These are not cheaper ebay spacers...."

let me know what you think guys.

Does pick ups include tacomas, or is it refering to the pre tacoma pick ups. I assume by the 6 on 5.5 it fits but just wondering

i haven't gotten a group buy price yet but normally maybe around 75-80 shipped per pair.

waiting to hear back from TG on if they would be interested, how many participants, price...etc. but thought it might entice them more if i had a number of people interested.

    includes tacomas

i think if you get 2 sets (4 spacers total) there is no shipping on the second set since they can fit in the same box as the first 2. the second two might add 65ish to the original 75.

If I hadn't already ordered my Spidertrax spacers, I'd throw in on these and give them a shot. But as for why people may choose Spidertrax over Trail Gear...I have no idea. There may be someone out there who has either a horror story or a glowing review. I just bought mine because of all the good comments and stories of well-performing Spidertrax over other lesser known companies. And not just from Tacomas; I talked to a few Jeep guys at school and they recommended Spidertrax as well.

I guess it's just kind of a popularity through word of mouth and years of performing well that gets most people's attention.

And I'm not saying anything about Trail Gear, just saying that this thread is the first I've heard of them.

i'm going to assume that from the lack of any response that no one really knows why they think spidertrax are better than all the others ... this seems to be the case on other forums as well. spidertrax are definately the favorite but despite all my searching i can't find any threads that explain how/why they perform better or why its worth paying more.

i think i'll be getting 4 trail gear 1.5" spacers for $135 shipped... pretty sweet :D

    A few bolts are different.
be careful fellas the 1.5" spacer with 285's is alot of trimming and also includes some body mount rub!

    Yes spidertrax are 1.25"

So there will be less rubbing and no body mount rub with 285's and the spidertrax?

less trimming yes, but at certain flex with the wheels turned a certain way I still have very slight body mount rub.
