Saturday I picked up my truck and it has felt like Christmas morning to me every minute every since. This is my first new truck and first experience with Tacoma's and I'm a believer now. When looking for my first new truck I looked at Chevys, Nissans, and then I wandered into the Toyota place. I had driven almost every truck with exception of the Tacoma, and once I took a test drive I was sold (and it was very difficult to keep my poker face on at the dealership).

I ended up with a 2012 PreRunner V6 Double Cab TRD with towing package, it has a lot of features I don't need, but WANTed & LOVE!.

Only downside is the wife is hesitant to let me make any mods to the truck at this time.

Congrats and welcome to the TW family!! When you get a chance, don't forget to post pictures of your new baby, we always love to see someone's new truck.

Oh and as for the mods, don't worry about that ~ mine is pretty much stock too except for wheels and tires (my husband says I don't need any mods...) There are a lot of trucks here that are not modded yet.

Welcome and congrats. Mine is fairly new and not modified; and probably won't be extensively ever. But they sure are nice trucks right off the showroom; and smell nice too.

Welcome to the asylum, and you'll only be able to not mod for solving, then boom one thing leads to another.

Congrats with the new truck and welcome to the Toyota family.
These trucks come well equiped so mods are not neccessary, but there are a few small things you can do that do not cost any/much money, but will personalize the truck for you.

Here are some pics. I actually love the truck stock, but I'll eventually get some bigger tires/rims when these tires wear out. Also thinking about adding some sort of step (my wife's on the shorter side so make things a little easier on her)

Really like your truck! I have a disability so I needed to put steps on to be able to get in easier. I went with the Westin running boards. They are rock solid and keep the whole side of the truck cleaner.

    Welcome fellow forum newbie!

True story: back in '05 I bought my first Tacoma and a few months later my roommate was also in the market for a new truck to tow his boat. He was like, "I really don't want us to be 'those' roommates that have the exact same truck, but I really can't bring myself to buy anything but a Tacoma". I understood completely.

Welcome MuleRider RN. Beautiful truck. New mods are like new guns. Once you get past the first three she won't even notice the rest. First mod I'd consider is reclaiming those family jewels! Just kidding!
