For 2 days, 5 or 10 gallons of gas, recovery gear, at least one if not 2 full size spares, normal camping gear (will be warm so no 20 degree bags), 2meter radio, assortment of tools and nuts/bolts.

Those who work with a lot of 2nd gens would have a good idea.

I know DMZ Tim has a specific valve rate that he uses for 2nd gen trucks with bypasses. Never bothered to ask the specific shim size cause the front works so well with the new revalved bypasses (for what im doing). But 2.5x8 bypasses out of the box need to be revalved for 2nd gens. I know he has consulted PRG Greg for valving for 2nd gen trucks, who i believe used to valve shocks for Matt Helton. give him a call.

Anyways, my shocks are leaking oil and im planning on rebuilding. Does anybody know where I can get my Nitrogen tank filled? Other places only exchange tanks, they dont fill up.

Acutally Airgas (orange, ca) is one of the places i called and they said they only do exchanges on tanks.

I'll most likely be posting up rebuild Q's on here when I start. Already watch the youtubes.

Thanks, I called them they said they would fill up a 15# for $13.

Ridgecrest is way too far away to dink around in, compared to Barstow and Lucerne who both have very challenging race courses.

It's not always about challenging courses though, as Logan once said, most of the fun is in exploring. We have so many abandoned mines here in Socal, and so many old mine roads and service roads that lead to Nevada and so many other places. Just check out the Mojave road threads.
