    Tank basically speeds the process up a little and that's all. I'm in no hurry.

    Plus that's one more mounting location, one more set of hosing to route, etc.

    It's a nice unit. It's also twice the price of their next-best, highly regarded, field-proven compressor. Is the extra speed and CFM nice? Yeah. Is it TWICE as nice as the
    $350 CKMA12 On-Board Air Compressor High Performance 12 Volt for Air Locker Differentials and Tire Inflation
    CKMA12? I'm not so sure about that. 99 times out of 100 when I'm airing up, I'm done wheeling for the trip and in the middle of bullshitting and having some beers anyway, so the truck has plenty of time to do what it needs to do.

    Sorta. I idled it for about 5 minutes today to circulate the fluids and actuated the t-case a few times to keep it loose.

    I normally drive the truck to work once a week or so to give it some exercise, but I plan to let it sit until gear time because I don't want to stress the bearings in the front diff more than I have to. I'm used to driving my Corolla most days anyway (way better mileage), so it's not that different.

    i understand that. since uwharrie i haven't drove my 85, i drove it several weeks before uwharrie to make sure all the small "bugs" were worked out. I must say, I had forgotten how good it rode/drove. Im ready to see yours geared, its going to be sweet!

    bad ass truck brotha... one of my favs...

    Got geared today. Nitro Gear and Axle 4.56 R + Ps, solid spacer in the rear, anti-float bushing in the front, all built by ECGS. I've only had the ~1hr. drive home with them so far, but it is awesome having the punch back when you use the skinny pedal. The truck drives like stock again...it is fantastic. Extra d-rings remain my favorite mod, but these gears are making a hard push for second place. If you upsize tires, you owe it to yourself to regear.

    Now, who wants to have an install party and help me get the rest of this shit on?

    I'm still waiting for my 700# coils for the Icons up front, but the rest is here and waiting:
