Yesterday, I finally finished my de-badge/black badge project...almost, that I started a month ago...now, it opened a whole can of worms as I now see I need to redo the lower bumper valance, the whole grille, the trim in front of the windshield and the mirrors, so everything will match. I think the door emblems turned out pretty good and the grille emblem turned out tits! Now, I just have to order a tailgate decal from SockMonkey on Friday and she'll be done with the badging.

Thanks man, this forum has actually given me the motivation to mod it, instead of just driving it...upside. I spend all my money and future, unearned money on mods...downside.

    An '01+?
If I had known, I would've given you my front bumper too! Had it up FS for free on TW and TTORA, nobody wanted it so it ended up in the scrap pile at the Addicted Offorad shop.

Are you gonna paint that chrome on the bumper?

First rule of courtesy... don't tell me

    :p

Yeah, I'm going to paint those PsOS black in about 10 mins from now. Hoping the plastic spray paint and vinyl dye match somewhat.

Good to hear, would not have looked too good leaving it chrome, IMO.

You should probably dye the fender flares while you're at it

I have to repair the fiberglass first.

But it's definitely on my list. Would like to color match the flares eventually though.

And yeah, I hate chrome on this truck.

i just washed her down and used some armor-all plastic and rubber cleaner.

then got in there with a micro fiber and scrubbed in deep with it. Its probably the most annoying cleaning part of the truck. you gotta jam your fingers in wedges and lean over inside the engine bay.

i hate doing it but i feel better after that its worth it. Im sure there are better cleaning agents to use out there that are actually made to clean the engine are.

(never use WD-40 because i used to and its a bad move)

Just started using 303 Aerospace. It's great...Not greasy at all. I'd recommend it, but it'll cost ya a couple bucks more.

I get it at walmart but any store with a decent selection of car detailer products should have it.
