Holding up well until you scrape it across something. I think the pre-measured amount of catalyst had too much in it making the whole batch very crisp. It flakes off like Gold Member on a sunny day when rocks are near. I'm under the impression there should be more give to the coating before it flakes off like it does? Besides that, I do really like how the finished product looks.

hahahaha...ropin us back in with bewbz...clever

so you think there is a better (cheap) option than hurculiner for bumpers? i have it on my sliders and it holds up alright until i ride along a rock, then the rock wins, but that is expected because idk what would hold up to sliding along a rock and not have the finish scrapped off...

Yeah, you are right. Coming in contact with anything can scrape or chip the coating off no matter what you use. So really the answer is I do like the MonsterLiner

haha, cool..good to know..i'm hoping to have a bumper by moab  nothing as intricate as your monster, but it'll gain couple inches of clearance a hold up to the rocks better

Finally, the squeaking front suspension has been found out. replacement heim for the bottom coilover mount will be on order tomorrow.

Nothing else new, just preserving all its 115,000 miles...

Nice. Finding squeaks is a PITA. Thats at least a quick, cheap, easy part to fix.

Luckily it seems King uses stainless because I suspect if they were chrome mine would of been shot a long time ago.

I still have not gotten the spherical bearing from Fox yet.

In the meantime I ordered a new synthetic line and hawse fairlead. I got it from Southeast Overland so it will be stitched with that on the abrasion cover instead.

how far does that fairlead stick out? will it still be recessed in the ARB fairlead pocket?

i've wanted to go hawse but most setups with ARB will have issues on winch pulls at an angle, where the line will hit the bumper...

    and btw... :jellydance: &

Yes it is recessed. There will probably be about 2-2.5" of bumper in front of the fairlead at the sides. Just means I'll l have to be wise about side pulls and snatch blocking. But, the way the opening in the fairlead is elongated I think it will be ok for most pulls.

need to figure a way to put some rubber or some easy sliding material on those corners of the bumper to give some protection...and make it look like it supposed to be there
