I guess we'll have to agree to disagree RA. You say there's no difference between 1:7 and 1:8, but you mention the 240 gr bullet requiring a 1:7 so you have to see some sense there. 240 is only 20 grains more than 220, yet it won't stabilize reliably in the 1:8 twist. I maintain that the 220 gr smk bullet out of an 8" barrel is on the edge of stability. Most folks don't have issues, some do. I'm just not risking my suppressor over it.

I got my gun back together. Took 2 and a half weeks from when I sent my SAR back to Spike's for me to get my new one. Concidering they are on back order I'm really happy. Great costumer service since it was probably my fault why the set screw stripped out but they replaced it free of charge including shipping! I also got a great deal on an Acog 4x32. I was going to get the new G33 Eotech magnifier for my 517 but for a $200 more I got the Acog.

Well I went with the BCM bcg since they actually had them in stock.

Also did a color fill for the first time on my lower, ordered a bunch of other random shit like magpul acs-l, DD buffer tube, magpul grip, and couple other things.

Excellent. Love my 762SD. The SDN6 seems like a great can as well.
