My truck had one on it when I bought it, I had the dealer remove it before taking delivery. All it seemed to do was block half the windsheild.

Did you have the factory tint on the top of the windshield already?

There will be a little line, maybe 1/4" wide on the side of the windshield and that is as low as you are legaly allowed to go with an eyebrow.

Mine comes a few inches below it, just enough to make it actualy usefull, and I have not had any vision problems or problems with the law.

See that doesnt look bad, but mine has like 2 1/2" of tint on the top of the windsow already so im afraid it will look retarted adding a thicker strip so the top 2/3rds will look way darker than the bottom 1/3...

are you talking about that factory shit that is at the top of the windshield? you cant take that off, its IN the glass. once you add an eyebrow you wont even be able to see that stuff anymore. thats why you get the 5% and it pretty much covers it up

I have a 5% tint strip on the top of the windshield that is 12" wide. It is way too far but I like it, there is noway for you to see who is driving. Not even in the sun.

I believe I have 70% tint on my whole windshield. Its more to block out the heat and UV rays. you can definitely feel the difference. Luckily hawaii just recently started allowing up to 70% tint on windshields.

I don't have the strip...I hadn't on my old old Camry and couldn't stand it. It keeps sun out of your eyes, but if you're tall, it cuts right into your field of view. Left the windshield on my last Camry plain and it was hott as hell. With the taco...I got the whole damn thing tinted.

Went with 65% on the whole thing. It is technically not allowed, but I did get a doctor to "officially recommend" it to me...for my "sensitive eyes".

It cuts down on heat like crazy (necessary in sunny south Florida) and looks great. Can't even tell its there at night.

I'm in Colorado and I know I can NOT take it off but if you can't see it with the 5% then that might be the way I go. And I dont want to tint the whole thing. Just a strip so it's a little darker when lookin in the window from the out side.

You put 5% tint on your entire windshield? And you drive it?? Ever think about being a rebel in a way that doesnt compromise the safe operation of your vehicle? It's a damn miracle you havent killed anyone yet.

Just got my windshield done with AirBlue http://tnttinting.com/node/1228 , I love it. It's a clear tint that's DOT approved that cuts glare and has a ceramic nano structure to it so it blocks like 50% infrared heat and 99% UV, without causing any interference to cellular or radio signals. I will always have this now. I keep my truck in the sun all day and come back and its barely above outside temp.

Oh yeah, it complies with the Federal Standard (FMVSS-205) that governs the front windshield.
