There's a little prep...you gotta take some tape off some bolt holes and install some brackets, but overall it's under an hour, and that's taking your time...

Called today, I am going down there on 5 July. They said to just stop a couple of times on my way home and I should be ok. It will indeed suck, but it will be well worth it :D

I will try...but I will have to work the next day so I will need to get back at a decent time.

John, how long did it take them to get the work accomplished? What were you doing while you were waiting?

I did 50 in the right lane with my blinkers on for the short stretch I was on I-85N on the way home

You have no idea. Took the truck for it's final heat/cool cycle today then drove it around town some more to continue the break-in period. This is seriously one of the best things I've ever done to the truck.

The plans are negotiable, and negotiable for a very reasonable price. PM me if you're interested.

They had my truck from 8AM to about 5:30 PM. Full day. But it's absolutely perfect. The truck rides smoother than it did from factory. I double checked everything today, everything was torqued to spec, they cleaned up after bleeding the brakes and filling the diffs...I don't normally like turn-key work because I can't supervise, but they really dotted every T and crossed every I.

Also, I took her for a 10 mile interstate spin tonight. Turns 2400 RPM @ 70 mph.

    PM replied.

Had a few extra minutes tonight so I slapped the roof rack on. Looks badass, but they always do.

On a side note, steer clear of Duralast Torx bits. I snapped my T20 bit torquing one of the roof rack bolts to spec. Went to Autozone down the street, bought a new Torx set, came back and snapped the brand new T20 torquing the other side.

They're going back tomorrow, and they better not try to give me store credit.

Yeah my craftsman torx are doing well. They stripped my roof rack bolts before the bit broke

I don't know what it is about the roof rack that seems to complete the look of these trucks, but I really like it. Maybe it gives the sliders some symmetry up top.

Still dripping from a wash tonight...

Bed is what, T40? This was a T20 I snapped. By hand. With a bit driver. I didn't even have a lever arm.

Roof rack bolts stripped the Duralast Torx bit :X

Anyway, I returned them today. Got refunded. The conversation at the front counter went like this:

Me: "I bought these bits yesterday and snapped one off immediately on the first bolt I turned."

Jackass At Counter: "What were you turning?"

Me: "A T20 bit only fits one thing. May I speak to the manager please?"

Thanks. Haven't been near 'em since I slapped additional D-rings in back in like '09.

Thankee...it'd be wearing a Satoshi if you'd gone into business before I got that grillecraft in

    Soon. :notsure:

Suspension upgrades will go on before the winch. Winch is at the bottom of the priority list still. Gonna worry about getting OBA and lights wired up, suspension where I want it, and gears fully broken in (it takes a while) before I worry about the winch.

Plus a few custom dealies from my favorite fabrication house :spy: Those will be going on July 21/22.
