 Haven't been in triple digit weather in a LOOOOONG time! SB has me spoiled with an average of about 70 year round. :D

Just got my CB in the mail today! Hopefully I can get it hooked up before friday!

I know OC is the same way...72 and partly cloudy 300 days a year.

CB shouldn't be difficult to install. Took me an hour. Did you get your antenna and cables too?

I got the antenna but muffed it on the cable. for some reason I thought one was coming with the cb......but I just ordered a cable and Amazon says I'll be getting it Thursday. (There are no CB or Radio stores around me.) Hopefully I can get it up and running and tuned before hand. I've never messed around with a cb before but everything looks easy.

Radio Shack has all the cables/mounts/couplings I needed.

My advice, either tap the power wire to an accessory 12v wire, or run it through the firewall to the battery. There's a grommet that's easy to reach just behind the dead pedal on the right under the dash. It comes out in the corner of the engine bay along the firewall.

The best place to run the antenna cable is either through that same grommet, or through the grommet that is directly under your seat. It comes out under the truck, easy to get to and remove.

Also, make sure you don't wrap the antenna cable up. It needs to be fully extended for the signal to not interfere with itself.

Sorry about the NOAA weather thing..lol

I soldered my CB wires to a cigarette plug will that work, it seems too, but I don't know how strong the signal will be.

    Anyone bringing a tuner?

He's a boxer. He's not REALLY a pup he just acts like one. He's the nicest dog ever too so no one has to worry about him biting anyone or anything

Just a question is anybody needing any leds? As you can see from my thread I carry a full line of quality leds. Everything from interior to parking, shifter, visor, lic plates and many others. Just a thought. If so let me know so I can bring a bunch out.
