Actually my hearing has been un-phased by my sound system. My hearing was a little bad when I first joined the army and I got the system about 6 months after joining. My hearing test right before I deployed was almost the same as my first one 5 years prior to that. Then I go to Iraq for a year (didn't really listen to any loud noises whatsoever) and come back and my hearing tanked, especially in my left ear. I should technically have a hearing aid in it. My right ear is down but not nearly as bad as my left.

 

Added the push fitting to the compressor and the hose will reach all 4 tires



Finished installing the switches yesterday and went and tested it. Front locker works It is interesting driving with the front and rear locked.

I removed the dash light dimmer switch and put the compressor switch there, then I removed the microphone for the factory alarm and put the inverter switch in its place so I could put the front locker switch by the rear locker switch. I just tucked both of the removed switches behind the dash.


It says to leave the system on for 15 minutes to test for leaks. Well it kicked back on in 14 minutes so I got the soap water out and found that both my pressure switch and the push fitting were leaking at their threads so I added a ridiculous amount of thread tape to them and retried it and the whole system made it 30 minutes before I shut it off

The only think I have noticed is that I think one of my lights on my dash isn't turning on. I have 3 traction control lights. VSC, TRAC, and one that looks like a vehicle losing control. Well I'm pretty sure that the TRAC light used to come on in 4-Lo and it doesn't now. This was before I did all the wiring on the compressor by the way so I know it wasn't that that caused it. Maybe I will have to research it and see if we missed a plug somewhere or what.

But i the jeep guys i wheeled with locally use them and they are very handy for them.

How exactly would a hand throttle help you? The only thing I can think of is if you had a crawlbox on an automatic and needed a little more oomf, but wanted it to be more steady than your foot on the throttle.

 

You already have suspension! Well..good enough suspension. I say armor time! haha

and its actually not really what it sounds like..at least the kind i have seen. It mounts to your shifter stick. And its more like a cruise control more or less in truth. As you click it over more the actual accelerator pedal moves down and the hand throttle keeps it down. So you could set it for like 1800rpm and then just worry about working your clutch and and brake. Its pretty nice for crawling actually with a manual.

 

Got ya, I see how that could be useful.

I will have sliders tomorrow according to FedEx and a front bumper before too long. My suspension rides pretty rough. haha Although the armor may help that some. Plus I think my drivers side leaf is FUBAR'd. Also when I was playing with the front locker in my driveway I measured my down travel on the front tire and I have 0.5" I had both front tires in the air and I measured the fender to the bottom of the hub on both sides. 27" passenger and 26.5" driver. Then I took the jack out from under it and remeasured and each one lost half an inch was all.
