 That is the exact same thing my Dad says!!!! I just tell him I don't plan on selling it for a long, long, long time. hahaha
Naw... I just won't be able to bring my cousin along again. All I need is the truck stuff (tools, spare parts, spare tires) which will all fit in the bed just fine... and I hardly need anything. I'm normally a super light packer. (MREs..... water..... and than a backpack with clothes n stuff.) just sleep in the truck or set-up a tarp... :notsure: My trip just wont be quite as cushy as it was this last time.
    Heck. Yeah.

Still need to make some more cuts and trim here and there, but I need this thing drivable until I have time to actually weld everything on, so I decided to attach everything with baling wire for now! :D It is surprisingly solid.

    Sorry for the blurry pics...

Does this bed make my butt look fat?? :p
    [IMG]

Definately looking foward to swap in my 63" chevies now!!! the rear end is now WAY too light for the expos! and the almost 90 degree shackle angle is pissing me off! lol

That's quite some rake you have going on there.:D

Is it just me, or is the taco lean more noticeable after doing a bed bob? Seemed like the same thing happened with mine.

ahahaha yeah... Really looking forward to lowering it with the 63s... and a bumper should bring it down a tad a well.

Must've been a PITA to measure/mark the bed for the dovetail. How did you end up doing it?

Thanks, man!!! :D How long of a shackle are you running with your 63s by the way? I'm planning on making my own out of some 3/8"x2" stock, and I'm trying to figure out how long to make the shackles to get about 4" of lift in the rear. I'm at about 5.5" now, and I only need a little bit of rake....
I'll get some pictures up in a bit, but I ended up running string, and then using a plumb. It'll be easier to see what I'm talking about when I get the pictures up...

I'm not sure what length to tell you, but.. I didn't see any squat in the chevys with my bed cage. I am running a 6" Shackle, frame height under cab back side is 25.5 passenger, and 24.5 driver. Not sure how much you're at (oh btw 38.5" tires mother f***er)

    :D

    eff you, sir!!! :D

I'm at 23" driver and 22.5" passenger on my frame in the rear right behind cab... that is with 6" shackles and all-pro expo leaves with just about ZERO weight in the rear!!! hahaha I'd like to lower the rear, from where it is now, about 5" at the fender (would make the fenders equal in height to give the truck about a 1" total rake I think) and get that frame measurement to a little over 20.5" (which is my frame height in the front).

If you were running 35s, you're frame height in the rear would be about 23.75" and 22.75", respectively, which is just a tad higher than what I'm at now.

There's a lot a variables, like different weight, tires not exactly 35 or 38.5, and shackle angles, etc... but I'm not looking to get it super precise! hahaha It looks like I want to run about a 4" shackle... :notsure:

One more question, Eric, is your shackle angle pretty spot on? I think I'm going to shoot for 50 degrees or so... that way I'd be at about 45 degrees with toolbox/spare tires/cooler/whetever else....
