Where and when would be a good time to meet Saturday morning for a day run? I have a very slight possibility that I will be out for Saturday...

Well it depends. You can meet us in the wash, and do that run, or wait for us to head out of the wash and maybe do Truckhaven and Font's Point with us? It'd be easier to meet in Borrego Springs, since we'll have cell phone reception there. We'll have to go through Borrego Springs to gas up and get to Truckhaven and Font's Point. When is the earliest you can head out, and what is your drive time like?

Best bet for going to Truckhaven would be straight up Poleline Rd or out 78 to 86. Either one of those routes would make getting gas at Arco on the corner of 86 and S-22 really convenient. I think most would prefer Poleline so we can stick to dirt so were not airing up and down.
Just a thought, I'm easy so whatever everyone wants to do is cool with me, I'll gladly follow.

Only way I've ever been is the 78 to S-22. Pole line Rd looks pretty cool, I'm down for that. I probably wont be airing down less than 45psi unless we hit some deep sand. Never needed to in the past.

Anybody down for a short hike? It's called "The Slot" and it's easily one of the coolest hikes I've ever been on. Less than 30 min round trip too. On the way to Truckhaven.

I'll be at 15psi. Esp in truckhaven. That's the happy spot, makes a nicer ride all day long even if it's not always needed. Most stuff south of 78 is pretty easy so airing down is not mandatory unless we hit a couple of the challenging areas, that all depends on the capability of the group as a whole

It's called THE SLOT!!! Slot canyon, hint-hint....SHADE throughout the entire hike?!?!

Remember, I'm Persian...we created one of the world's first modern civilizations in an area with a similar, if not more extreme climate. I handle the dez pretty well...but I need to bring my turban

BTW, anybody have on board air?? If we have to use a little 12v compressor, it'll take me 45 min to air back up to 60psi. Although, my tires can run on 0psi on the street and not break a bead :p

I might be up for the hike, we'll see when we get there, still hot as hell in the shade but the Slot is super cool, havent been in there forever. I'm fresh out of turbins so it may be too hot for my honkey ass:eek:. I can always stay back and keep an eye on the coolers:cool:

Oh ya, no problem, we'll just fold in the mirrors:D.

Have you given any thought about Pinyon Mountain Rd? Its accesable from Fish creek area, sorta. Its a haul but Heartattack hill is exactly that and the Squeeze is, well, tight.
