FS: 2007 OEM Stereo with ALL Blue LEDs

I did this conversion some time ago using guidance I found on the pages of TW. All leds are replaced except for altering the clock. I'm selling this without the faceplate, but will include the knobs. It is currently installed in my 2007 dcab. I intend to replace the headunit with a 7" display driven by a carpc I'm building. Price is $125 shipped by either fedex or ups to US mainland locations. Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska will be a bit more. Let me know if you want more pics.

Any idea if this would fit a First Generation (2004)?

 

I dont think you can get a 2005+ in a 2004 dash.

 

Is it the changer? Or single disc?

What does this mean? Isn't the lighting in the faceplate? Black face stereo? Clock/hazard comes with? I know there are people afraid to ask that might want to purchase if they knew GLWS................

 

I think he is referring to the "kit" that you have to buy to make an aftermarket radio fit in the dashboard.

 

Not sure what that would have to do with oem stereo sale and the comment about including the knobs. That's the confusing part.

Was going to keep the black plastic to chop on for other projects, but I have since purchased a double din replacement.

As a bonus, not only will I include the knobs, I will also include the black face plate.

I am guessing that anyone choosing to buy this HU, would already have a face plate attached to their stock HU, and would simply transfer that to this one. It maters not what faceplate is used, its still going to be lit up BLUE.

 

Faceplate simply allows LED light to pass through. The lighting come from a PCB behind the faceplate.

Sorry, think we are splitting hairs here. When I think of faceplate I think of seperating the plastic in front from the metal box. I'm guessing faceplate here means the front plastic skin that you see when installed seperated from the plastic backing with the control board. I see what you meant now. Still makes a difference to someone with silver face wanting a black face or may not make difference to someone with silver wanting silver with just different lighting. Main thing is clarification has occurred.............GLWS

I have an 05. Would this head unit work in mine? Does it have an AUX input or any other means of connecting a ipod?

 

It will fit the 05. This unit does not have aux input. You'd have to get an aftermarket kit for iPod operation, either FM style or hard wire.
