Put Leaves and Pinestraw in the back of my truck, then drive to some back woods road with the tailgate down and let them blow out back into the wild were they all belong..

as long as its not someone else's on private property, and its all natural stuff like you said, I dont see how you could get into trouble doing that... just make sure no one is behind you.

Yes, I think it falls under "unsecured load" or something.

You might get some guff...but if you are truly on a dirt/logging/woods road and no one is around...::shrug::

Why not just go to the same road and find a place to pull off to the side and sweep the bed out??

Sounds good.. I have already bagged like 10 bags in like a 25 sq foot area.. and really dont feel like bagging the rest of it... i think it would be easier to rake it into some piles and toss the piles inthe truck drive down the street and disguard them into the woods away from the houses.

It depends on where you live.

You can haul whatever you want, as long as its secured properly and not flying out causing a safety hazard.

As for 'dumping' the stuff...you gotta be careful where you dump it and what you're dumping. Even though it's biodegradable material, it might not be legal to just dump debris anywhere. You could be introducing various things to an environment that doesn't naturally have those substances or plants.

You're better of finding a facility to dump the stuff and do it legally.

Where I live, I have a compost facility...I pay $5 for a truckload of yard waste.

I'm a pyro- The last time I had yard waste to deal with it turned into a two day ordeal involving about a gallon of gas and lots of beer...and a burning permit. Not sure what the rules about burning stuff is where you are tho...

Do you have any gardeners in your area?
Probably could get them to take them for mulch or compost

Just make sure you remove the debris from the back of the truck befor you start the fire, this ends badly!

Run your lawn mower over it a few (dozen) times and you won't have enough stuff left to pick up. All my leaves either go in the garden or the compost pile.

As to driving with the stuff in your bed... as long as you get to the back road with the stuff covered, and no one sees you on the road with the stuff blowing all over... I just wouldn't leave it in a pile. If you let it blow all over, no one will know it didn't fall naturally :D
