One of my favorite trails to run was 102J (Ward Rd out of Jamestown).

Unfortunately too many yahoos and idiots, who didn't respect tread lightly, ended up having the trail become permanently closed.

If you stayed on the trail and treaded lightly, you would have an amazing time with unbelievable vistas and some pretty challenging and technical obstacles. However, there are a lot of tempting areas to "go have fun" in and it turns out it is the source of the town's drinking water.

Due to the high turbidity of the water, due to idiots wheeling through it, the town's water plant couldn't filter it well enough... so the road is closed.

Point is: your actions have consequences and affect responsible wheelers.

cool...there's some free spots up there that we could take over

i know there's a sick spot on top of a hill just to the ENE of the lake that is quite large, but there's some spread out throughout the woods as well and up some of the side roads

i'd probably try to get up there that friday night to get a spot and stay through sunday...

I would be down to head up early on Saturday and only stay sat night.
Wheeling and fishing weekend sounds fun.
