Apparently so is everyone who has questions or comments including other fabricators that have made these. the nerve of "some people" :smack:

A video burnt on a disc would be an added bonus.

No one's hoping for disaster so EAD and stop giving neg rep. to people

I have been looking at this specific part for over 3 years and have even designed a version in CAD and am currently awaiting the same product from a different fabricator so I can test it.

When the people who know WTF is going on question work or designs it only helps the people who are clueless and vendor R&D. If no one had asked the right questions no one would know these are not inline with the leafs.

To this point no real numbers have ever been posted nor any actual angles of the set up.

IMO this set up is very beefy and the best I have seen fabricated to date, but still lacking a couple key items.

What real numbers are you looking for? Lift gained, shackle angle, shock length? Oh, the ones that will be different on every truck. There are way too many variables to claim any numbers on these.

As for the leafs lining up, it wouldn't be able to be installed if they didn't line up. This has been covered with real numbers. If needed you can read back through the thread.

Anyone concerned with the miniscule twist in the bushing, I give you something to check. Go park a rear tire on the curb and take a look at the side twist on your shackles. We're talking less twist than this. Then think about what that angle is doing just driving around town, through intersections, over the speed bumps at the mall, etc. I think that should put it in perspective.

Good luck with your design. I am sure in your perfect world it will work perfectly.

i wouldn't even know how to give "neg rep" so if someone did, talk to them.

only reason i even know what you're talking about is because someone gave me a "rep" once.

I think if I can estimate, sell, and PM a terminal expansion at PHL airport I can handle helping someone else build a simple bracket

It's not brain surgery, but have fun going through bushings because the angles are off.

I'm also not going to have a mish mash of parts on my truck from Cheby or Heep... I will have Johny joints on mine

Meh..on a leaf sprung rig they don't make much of a difference to be truely beneficial, especially on a DD rig. If your junk is setup up right in the first place then you don't need em anyways..of course my opinion will differ from others

My crawler isn't setup with any johnny joints ..I have the allpro sas kit, trailgear trunion bearing eliminator kit blah blah blah..I have also removed A leaf or two to help lower my junk...it all works great :cookiemonster:
