I was crawling around under my taco playing with some wiring and I don't know why i have never really checked this before but my drivers side leaf is actually negatively arched while sitting on level ground.

Yep. That would definitely confirm that my taco lean is coming from my leafs. haha

Now to decide what leaf pack to get. I am leaning towards the dakars I think, maybe the standard all-pro's. I think the SUA kit is out cuz of price.

Can you weld? Get you some junkyard 6" lift Chevy springs And fry together your own stuff. It could be done in a weekend easy, and pull 16" no problemo.

I wouldn't get standard allpros. Expos seem the way to go from them. No weight capacity from the standards like at all.

I still may end up trying this out at one point..

I wish I could. The fiance's Dad is a really good welder but being a farmer he is far too busy this time of year. May look into that though.
Hold on a sec though, 6" lift? That would give me one hell of a rake. I have 3 on the front and am leaning towards about 3 in the rear to sit level.

Part of why I am leaning towards the dakars is because the expos are supposed to sit at like 4" without weight and I don't think I would be heavy even to offset that.

    What's up Chrisco?;) haha

You use Chevy 63 packs is what i think he ment. Haft ton or bigger. You just have to really grind down the leafs to size..you don't have to weld acutally. Then just put in 1 or 2 leafs and you get about 3'' of lift i think.

Talk to Doug about as he does it ALL the time. User name 4WD.

and really i don't think they are that bad on the 2nd gens. Plus just think, rear bumper + camping gear + recovery gear and spare tire..thats anywhere from 200-400lbs easy.

But yes the Dakars are a good choice as well!

You run the full leaf pack sua, wich nets 3" of lift out of a 6" spring. Shoot I have a deaver 6" lift 10 leaf pack in my 2500HD that isn't a whole lot different than the F67's I was running on the taco.

I see, so you were referring to making my own SUA kit?

Fedex says I will have them tomorrow:D

and honestly that is very tempting... If you lived closer those would be cake to swap and at least see how the look. I am a little nervous that they might give me some killer rake. Although I do kind of have a bro lean right now.

If he had one already I imagine that the leafs would already be on it. I think he means he has at least a month before he can do anything.
