these leafs are for 1st gens only. I'd suggest you contact Wheeler's directly to check the compatibility of your AAL and their 2nd gen leafs. They are knowledgeable!

Fuuuuuu I can't wait until I install my leafs and shackles on Monday :D

Need to get off my ass and finish my car up, so I can sell it and afford to buy some front suspension though too.

Installed my rear leafs as well as my 1" ToyTec shackles...only took 3 hours and that was with me forgetting to grease the leaf pack bushings on one side then having to semi pull it off to grease and reinstall.

Ride quality is better in the back, though it seems really soft compared to the stock leaf pack. I'm assuming you want soft for off road flex.

I'm kinda disappointed in the height though.. With the 3" blocks and stock leaf/shackle my truck was kinda leaning, but it sat at:

39" from the ground to the top of the fender arch on the driver side and 40" on the passenger side with a 9.5" and 10.5" gap from the top of the tire to the top of the fender.

With this setup I have 38" from the ground to the fender and 8.5" of fender gap. At least it's level, but that sucks I lost some lift. I'll probably have to get an AAL now for peace of mind. We'll see what the front ends up at once I'm done with it. Probably should have gone for the 2" shackle though and saved myself the trouble

Got everything installed. What a bitch. Especially getting the Leafs off the stock shackles. The ride is definitely better. Prior to the install, rear measurements from center of fender to center hub 19.5. Now sitting at 22.25 with a campershell. Very pleased with the results.

Yeah, I had to cut the eyes off too. Hardest part was getting the old bushings off the shackle. Cut most off it off and wire brushed the rest. I couldn't be happier with the springs and 5100s. Night and day difference between stock. Don't know what to do for the front yet. I have some rake but not a ton. I'm leaning toward an adjustable coilover because I only need around an 1" of lift in the front. What would be a good option? Under 1000.00.

Finally got everything on today. Only about 3 hours of actual work...did a lot of screwing around too. And thank god for Florida!! Not one drop of penetrant needed anywhere :D

And it rides 100000000x better. Already hit some
Trails today, and the rear was SMOOTH!!!
    No more hopping or jumpyness.

I installed them without the overload so I wouldnt get too much lift. Because I already have shackles and didn't want more than 2" or so of lift. I gained about 3/4" overall.

    Very happy so far!!

Budget of $1000?? For about $750 you can get some Sway Away 2.0 Adjustable coilovers. the 2.5 versions are right at a grand. There is also Icon and king which are bit more money than the SAWs.

He'll, I've already spent 750.00 on the rear including shipping. Might as well do it right in the front. I just don't know much about coilovers. Thanks for the suggestions.

Coilovers are bar none the top standard for IFS.

You would make no mistake by going with a set.

Soo, how are your leafs holding up guys?

Mine haven't settled at all that I have noticed, still sittin right about where they were when installed. The ride unloaded and flex off road are vastly improved!!, the "jumpiness" I had with the worn out stockers is gone too, but the weight hauling capacity still leaves something to be desired..:(

I do tile work and haul pretty heavy loads frequently, the ass end def sags when I'm haling anything over say 200lbs, but I have a cap too so that doesn't help. I'm trying to come up with a good solution to improve weight capacity.

I don't really want to get into an air-ride system so I was thinking of adding a solid leaf to the pack. longer shackle won't help any with weight, right?

    what say ye?!?

Longer shackles will just allow the leafs to flatten out even more.

If you haul tile all the time...

I was thinking of going with a 2" shackle instead of my 1" and getting an AAL..:spy:

that was a thought I had, they'r pricy for a piece of rubber; and I was thinking of being more pro-active and beefing up the leaf pack instead. Would a chevy spring or wheeler's aal be better?

throw an AAL in there. The chevies require moving the front spring hanger.

Pretty sure I am going to get rid of my shackes and get a wheelers AAL soon enough. My 5 packs are flatter than I want them to be :/

BUT OH MY GOD!! Does this truck ride so much better now. No rough shuddering or bouncing in the rear end. Nice and SMOOTH now!!

    Go with the wheelers aal.

Blackdawg on here has the 5 pack with the 1.5" aal and I know he loves his setup.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
People who got the 5 pack...how many of you recommended and did get longer brake lines, BPV and exhaust hanger? I am debating on the 5 pack and would like to know if those three items are required and if so why?
