without GB the base itself is 750. powder coated, light bar, fog lights, 2 drilled holes for lights, winch set up. elite cut out. no build time, who knows when tim is gonna start again

 

horrible timing for my credit card, but i couldn't pass it up considering I wanted one similar by the end of the year.

 

That's what I"m offering my bumper for. I think $900's a good deal and no wait time, I ordered mine in early Dec '11 and got it end of Apr '12 so 4-5 month wait. But It doesn't have the light bar or logo cut out.

 

most defiantly. it originally was going to be "next" until this came up. im stoked.
because of the TRD suspension I can put this bumper on without any problems you think?

I was estimating a 6-8 month wait considering his down time.

I defianlty think it is a lot to fork out, but if something where to happen, im sure the costs would nearly even out.

a new bumper costs a few hundred im sure.
if it was an accident, a deductable of 500$ for my insurance (sure I could change this)
500, then most likely insurance spike. I mean after seeing pics of before and after accidents with these bumpers, I was convinced.


and also I like the idea of being able to hit something off roadnig and not worring about a scratch or broken stuff

 

The bumpers work and they work well. It's in the ARB price range but looks better and is made locally and not by some kid in china. I also have the frame reinforcement plates that have never been installed. To me its worth the price to know where it came from and that the money is going to pay for someone I met in person to get an education.

 

this is coming from the long travel guy who's had more suspension work than most of us have had personal mod days lol

 

That is the life of a steely eyed warrior. I spent 7 1/2 years out of ten overseas, but I don't regret it at all. Someday you will look back on it with a smile, and realize it wasn't so bad after all. Remember to go see the doc when you are broke, and make sure that shit gets in your records. That will help a lot when it comes time to see a VA years from now. I wish I wouldn't have just drank water and drove on. Also don't forget about federal employment when you get out, it's a good gig and there are a lot of vets that work for the .gov.

$900 is a great price. You should feel a little fortunate to be able to get it at that price.

Unfortunately, I think your progressive coils are going to hate you. Maybe not immediately (Oh yeah, they will sag) but soon. Just the bumper swap is going to add about 90 lbs of extra weight hanging off the very front of your truck.

Will you eventually be adding a winch? Another 60 with synth cable, otherwise 80 more.

Not too bad considering the abuse I've put them thru but then they are 650 lb Eibachs. And for mine you have to add the additional weight of budbuilt skids and sliders to the total. About 300 lbs over stock.
