I am starting to wonder if this feature was some kind of custom install since I did buy my 2011 access cab taco used because I cannot find any other threads related. My Tacoma beeps non stop when I get the truck at 72 mph and over on the interstate. It's really embarrassing and I can't seem to find a fix. I thought it could have possibly been a seatbelt thing but took it out again the other day with both mine and my passengers seatbelt fastened and it still went beeping at approximately 72 give or take. Has anyone else had this happen?

I think chime is an option for blind drivers. This way they know when they are speeding. Blind drivers can not see speedometer so chime gets installed.

I'm pretty sure that you can adjust the nanny beep. I have a nanny ring and a nanny beep that for sure narcs on me when I speed. It was pre set at 75 but there is a display/options button that I flip through and from there I can change the speed for which the nanny ring appears.

Was it a fleet vehicle? They may have had those installed to keep drivers from speeding if it was a fleet vehicle?

Nanny ring. Look at the speedo on the left. Factory setting turns yellow when it hits 75, turns red at 100mph.
