I've been lurking on here a while now, and I figure it's time to introduce myself. So, Hi! I'm Keith. I work at a poison center, am the proud co-parent of a furry son without thumbs, and I like to ride bikes, tele ski, work with wood, and a few other things in my free time.

So, anyway, I went out to the wood shop this morning to find a 2"x6" to throw in the back of the truck to stabilize the bottle jack if I ever needed it... And then I came across a pile of scraps of 2"x4" and 3/4" plywood. I then set about making the most overbuilt jack platform I have ever seen.

    Enjoy:

I think I have you beat! I found some scrap C-Channel at work and used that to make a platform. I measured the inside diameter of my spare tire and cut the channel pieces to fit and be stored in the spare tire when not in use. Drilled and tapped holes to bolt the bottle down. Then cut a large hole in the middle so the spare tire chain and holder can fit through
