I just join TW! Long story short my cable went out a last night and I got bored! It was great to see some Texans BSing! I sure miss it out there!
I will be in the Austin area around middle of Aug and would love to do some exploring and camping! I know it'll be hot and sticky and am not scared!! Anyone know of any good "local" spots to trudge around?

I need some advice on a situation.

So I'm one of the new higher-ups at my work. Basically 2nd highest guy working in the shop. I'm normally the guy laid back guy and I work my ass off. Today one of the guys was standing around not doing anything and talking shit about some other people when we had a shit ton of work to do. I had come in for the afternoon shift and told him to "get to fucking work". He responded by telling me some bullshit about how I haven't been there all day. So again, I told him to stop talking shit and get to work. Then he just keeps standing there and tells me to make him. I just walked away to go get some tires and work off some steam before I knocked his ass out. Now, just for background, this idiot's already had problems with the managers and been suspended. So I'm already halfway pissed off at him for not working. Once I had calmed down enough, I went and talked to the assistant manager about all the bullshit he had been causing and what to do. He

So, what do ya'll think I should do from here? I can't kick his ass on the clock because that would only get us both unemployed. And I can't get that pissed off anymore or I might end up breaking something.

    Heck yeah!

First and foremost be professional. Don't get into shouting matches with the idiot; that just validates his position. Getting away from it was good, but going to your boss is the right move. At some point they are going to have to fire him or deal with the problem that he is.

On a different note; I decided not to do my final exam last night because I wasn't feeling real good. Today when I was getting setup to take it my charger for my laptop quit. It is a 3.5 hour test! I had to get a hold of my boss to borrow a charger and then get setup for my test. Damn I just want this week to be done with.

what zech said. if hes gonna keep on causing problems and be paid to just stand around he doesnt need to be working there. having the manager deal with that issue is the best solution. id just mention it to your boss whenever he starts screwing around
