Or maybe you could just practice good business by giving him a refund and cutting your losses. He didnt have to bash you the way he did, but he has a good reason to be upset.

nah OP got his bumper the way he asked for it, even though he changed his mind.

If everyone got refunds for late products after taking delivery, then most fab shops would be out of business

u should have a reasonable return policy, I think it's reasonable to have OP pay shippping both ways, that's how a lot of vendors do, if he still wants to return it he'll be out 200-300 and you can still sell the bumper, also taking some losses on it.

I'm with ZZchipster. I had a bad experience as well. Just ask GTAburnout. I definitiley understand your frustration and understand you're really upset, but there is probably a better way to post this thread. I don't agree with the others talking bad about the OP just cuz they don't agree with him and think Eric is all that. All I know is I will never throw business his way. I will get more things from KR though!

Take it back, give him the refund, then sell it to one of the other folks here on TW that love your products. It'll be like winning the lottery for someone. Order an RF product and not having to wait 6 months for it!
I'd buy it if the longhorn was covered. And if I didn't have a 2012. And if it only had the center hoop. And if I wasn't up to my eyeballs in 3 mortgage payments.

custom is always a shot in the dark, it is impossible for a fabricator to build some that youre picturing in your head. IMO eric did a great job, and he has done many great jobs. You do not have people waiting for 6 months + if you arent good at your nitch. My suggestion if he does give you a refund, welding lessons build your own products. hopefully no one with start an all caps post about your self.

Big deal the bumper took so long. Quality takes time, and especially in smaller shops. The bumper looks awesome. The OP looks like he may actually be a woman on his period, all the time. As much as he changed his mind, and made the story up the way he wanted.

maybe Relentless can be the first that caters to the customer instead of profit, no offense to Relentless, I'm not insinuating that it's solely anybody's fault

While I would love to take a refund for an unhappy customer, its not that simple. Both parties lose money and time in the ordeal. This case is especially hard when it's a custom product- the market for reselling the returned custom product is tiny compared to a standard run product. You can see just in this thread how many people would have offered to snatch the bumper up, had it not had the longhorn cut into it. Puts me between a rock and a hard place trying to please the customer, yet not lose a ton of time and money in the process, hence why I have the disclaimer that custom products are non-returnable.

Why would anybody offer a refund on a custom customer spec'd item ? The vendor would be stuck with product they can't necessarily sell
