Picked up my Taco a couple of weeks ago, and wanting a meaner look to it already... Wanna eventually go with 18" FN wheels, but can't justify it right now, especially with the tires being brand spankin new! Tossing the idea around of plastidipping the grille and wheels black in the meantime, and of course, debadging. Figured I'd throw it out there for you guys for opinions. I'm not great at photoshop, but this should give you guys a good idea...

    yay or nay?

Go for it man! i dont see why not. if you don't like you can just peel it off. i dipped my badges and front logo a few months ago! so far so good! i eventually wanna get to the grill and stuff. Idk about the wheels though...i just see it coming off...but its worth a try.

It looks 100x better blacked out, and I'd black the badges out rather than remove 'em, thats just me though.

The chrome above the black portion of the bottom bumper looks out of place IMHO.

Not sure if this has been brought up before but...is the grill surround and rear bumper chrome on all of the US model Tacos ? I am a Canadian Boy and i might be off but from what i remember ALL models of the Tacos up here have the colour match grill surround and bumpers. Much better look IMO

Naw, my RC 4x4 is all black, and silver, lol...

only thing "chrome" is the "tacoma" on the tailgate and the front logo on the grille,

I dipped all my emblems and my wheels. I really like it, I recently had to peel all of it off the wheels because I got new tires. The key to being easy to peel off, it layer it on really good. Even after it all dries and looks good. Do another couple of coats. It will make it more chip and scuff resistant too.

Actually the only models in Canada with colour matched surround and bumpers is the Sport. The TRD Offroad and all the other lower models have a chrome and bumpers besides the base model, which has black. You probably only see the sports model, as it is by far the most popular.
