    whats the best affordable 3" lift to gain ground clearance for my 2012 trd 4x4?

    Choose wisely, although the majority of ground clearance comes from larger tires.

    I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm interested in this lift kit:

    I want to get some 285's along with it. However, I don't want to do any cutting due to rubbing. Do you think 285's would be too big?

    if you are never going to take it offroad.with the right backspaced rims or spacers you could probability get away with trimming a little plastic with 285's.

    285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler MT, 17" American Outlaw Rims, Bilstein 5100 all around 1.75 Front, Truxedo Cover, Factory Roof Rack w/ INNO Fairing, Blacked out Headlights
    I just put 5100 all around on my 09 DC and I had to do some cutting but it literally took 5 min and you can even tell it was done... I only get slight rub at full steer lock.. but I havent really gone off road yet
