Bought my brand new Prerunner last Friday. I had a Scion XD and was tired of being cramped. I originally was out looking for another car for gas mileage. I have been wanting a Tacoma for a very long time and my lovely wife convinced me to get what I really wanted. I love my truck! Yes it's a 2.7 and not fast, but I can deal with that.

    I couldn't imagine a 2.7 in my DCSB, but i'd love your MPG's.

On my first tank I averaged 21.3 mpg. I'm happy if I can stay above 20. I was getting 33 mpg on my Scion and about 10 with the F150 I had before that. The 2.7 isn't that bad, it's an auto too. I'm just happy to have a little more space between my butt and the asphalt.

I can get about 20-21 MPG with my 1GR. Once yours is broken in better, your mileage will grow.
