My dads getting a shelby or challenger here pretty soon. I told him if he gets one I am making him get a nice exhaust system, or at least an electronic exhaust dump

I got some videos of it from a while back.
Just crusing around. not the best quality from my go pro.

    cutout closed.

    cutout open.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjxPNShCeNw&feature=plcp

when its closed has a nice lil tone to it. sleeper sound. since im running 2 mufflers to tone it down.
when its open sounds like a v8. :)
no restricition once that cutout is open.

Dont have any thats under boost.
Ill try to make some more better vids than upload them.
Gotta wait till it gets way cooler outside!
My intake temps are reading 108 in houston today. :(
    So no boost. Too hot.

Maybe, maybe not. Something to be aware of before you do it, and if you install one knowing its not legal, be prepared to take the consequences. Here, your vehicle can be taken out of service for having one, which means a fine, towing of your vehicle, and most likely you would be given a notice and order for an inspection. So, on top of buying it, and then having to remove it, you could be looking at close to $1K in expenses so you can make noise?? I guess you can say I don't see the point.

    lol to make noise??
no sir. i have my cutout for 0 restriction for my turbo when i have it open.
theres a purpose why i have one. not just to drive around and be loud and annoying for no reason.
    no restriction = more power.

if u install a cutout on a stock vehicle. all its gonna do is make noise.

Another name for them would be "Captains Choice" that term OS used primarily for jet boats and such but same thing.
That's sucks someone gave you neg rep for that. I sold someone some floormats and they left neg rep but the comment was good praises.

LOL Thanks guys for the ARE EE PEE....:spy: nice to see some people care even tho those green blocks are rather silly.. Okay but back to the subject:
Thanks TOON714 for posting up what you've got and the video. I don't have anything done to the engine (yet) but my purpose for having this is because I want a loud exhaust for when I go off-roading, but the stock whisper when I'm not. I clench my teeth when i ride up some of the dunes we have out here thinking at any given moment some rider is gonna come flying over the edge at me. A flag, and some noise, should help with this.

TOON714, have you had any problems with it so far? About how much did it cost you, 2-300? just my guess. Thanks everyone for the input on this topic.

np sir. here to help. :)

it cost 200 for the QTP 3in electric cut out.
than i had it vband from my down pipe to my exhaust.
which ur gonna have to go to an exhaust shop to weld it on or vband it.
    vband will cost more.
all together parts and labor about 400.

my cutout is dumped right under the passenger seat.
sounds pretty nasty when it back fires. my gf gets all scared when it happens here and there.

I was refering to an otherwise stock vehicle with the noise comment, which we clearly agree is a step in the wrong direction for that. Glad you got an LOL out of it.

I had DMH cutouts on my CTS-V and loved it, realy made the cammed ls6 turn heads. And you just shut them if your next to a ol' penny.

But not a mod I'd do on a taco unless maybe you were turbo or S/C and pushing some high HP ...
