Yup! The 1" would definitely save you some pounding and probably eliminate any rubbing.

I hope you do, that'd be a sweet kit.

I should have them this coming week so I hope to play around with them this coming weekend... The bushwhackers are ABS - I plan to alter them in ABS then have them replicated in Fiberglass. That, coupled with a "breakaway" type fastener (in case they get hit) would then create a viable solution for those who want to stuff 35's without a DB lift. :notsure:

    We'll see.

It's kind of a limited market...

My first job is to get them to fasten with the stock fender flare holes. After that - the rest is easy.

What are you guys running for springs up front with the 33's-35's. OME w/trim packers and spacers?

I want to go 33's, my coilovers feel like the rebound is maxed out, I may switch to OMEs.

    3" OME lift 885s & Dakars riding on 33" KM2s
Max is on OME 886s (without spacers I think) because of the ARB bumper & did some major wheel well mods to fit the 35" tires.
I'm on OME 885s (no spacers) & 33.3" tires with no mods to the wheel wells & even still have my mud flaps.

I cut him some 1/2" spacers actually Randy. So he's probably at about 3.25-3.5" lift in the front with the 886, arb, and winch.

Yeah right Eric, it's not that high!

Yeah though, 886, nitrochargers, trim packer and top plates cut by eric.

As long as you clearance, it doesn't matter too much how much lift you have.

I don't know all that much about coilovers but everyone says they ride nicer. I'd look at some different ones if the ones you have aren't working out.

Well I've had the good fortune of having some newer ford trucks to work on. Very interesting.

We have a couple 2011s and a bunch of 11th gen (04-08). Got to go work on an 06 today where the brakes were locking up. Well I got there and there was some bad squealing going on at very slow speeds. The back of the rotor was trashed but the front was fine.

Got some new pads and rotors and then found that the bearing was trashed. Also found out they're vacuum operated hubs. So they disconnect at the hubs and not a CDD. It's a pretty awesome system because when they fail they fail to 4wd and it fucks shit up. Anyway, I'll be replacing the bearing soon. Of course there is always the awesome sleeves they used in the 5.4 block for the spark plugs and with fords interval of 100k mile changes, you end up pulling the sleeves out and then have to helicoil them. Talk about fail. Guy at the parts store told me to wait until winter when it's about -20 out here in ND and then pull the plugs, guess it'll make everything nice and tight. The one nice thing is that the hub assemblies/bearings come together, just bolt in a new hub, no pressing required.

Also hate they way ford stuffed the jack and tools under the seat on the 12th gen, kinda retarded. I do like the lock they've got covering the hole for the tire winch thing though. Not super secure but it's helpful I think. Toyota has it down with the oil filter on the 2nd gen tacoma. I've only changed oil on a sequoia before and they made that pretty easy too. The filter on the 12th gen 5.0 V8 is right on the front of the block but you can't reach it from the top. It's fine to get to underneath but because of where it's at they've got a goofy little tray with some areas for the tray to drain from. It can drain from the front or the back, it'd be helpful to know that before hand because the rear spot is hard to see and the front looks way more obvious. I spilled a bit before I caught it. Annoying.

Just some random shit I thought was interesting compared to the Tacoma.

ECGS kindly sent me back my side gear.
Keep in mind this is a few hours on the trail still and then probably another 800 miles to home until I stopped driving it.
