    Hello All,

Just drove about 15 miles at 65MPH with an inadvertently locked driver side hub locked, in 2H. Any thoughts on whether I have just hosed my forward drive train?

    Thanks for any insights.

You should be fine. Just test it out, off the pavement.

shouldnt be too much of a problem. On my 94 pickup i was in a field that i didnt realized was boggy and i sank down and could only get to one hub so i locked it and came out in 3 wheel drive haha. i know people will tell me how bad that is but i never had any problems

With the hubs locked the front drive train is still disconnected at the transfer case,
this is actually how all newer tacoma's after they got rid of manual hubs drive around, one hub locked.

You're fine. My partner borrowed my patrol truck once (Chevy Colorado) and drove it over 100 miles of highway with it locked in 4WD. The piece of junk's t-case and front diff still work flawlessly. Can't say much for the rest of the truck, though.

Thanks very much to all replies. Just hauled
450lbs of water up a rough slope and all worked
    flawlessly. I suppose it could
be very harmful, as it states in the owners
manual, to apply heavy torque in 4WD
to an asymmetrically locked forward axle,
but in 2D without the transfer case engaged,
    no real harm is likely.

    Can't kill a Taco!

pretty sure you need to lock them both to work. because the tire with the least amount of resistance will turn first. so the tire without the hub locked would be the one that should spin (so just the axel will spin not the tire)

this has happened to me, i only locked 1 hub and left 1 un locked on accident and the 4wd would not work, i kept getting stuck haha.
