An 8 will be fine. Though large for a "small" truck, the double cab is still an incredibly small interior.

Like the factory look. I think the not having sat or HD radio is a deal killer for me. Sux cuz I would much prefer to have an OE style unit. I'm gonna see what Pioneer puts out next year. Hopefully they will add android support to their HUs other than the AppRadio.

I have 2 12" jackhammer on my back seat, jackhammer 1200 watt running those, Alpine head unit, and a alpine 600 watt amp running kenwood door speakers. Will get pics up later! Considering taking my back seat out for more space with the subs in there..

Took back the ddx418. Wouldn't work with Bluetooth. They have me a deal on the ddx419 and it works great.

That's funny, I did the EXACT same thing. Love my ddx419. I use it with an iPhone 4s. Just make sure you put the mic up high like above the mirror or at the top of the pillar. The 419 doesn't have navi but has sat radio where the 418 is opposite. I figure I'd use sat radio more than navi anyway and my phone does navi through the 419 with the cable. Make sure you get motion x for navi if you have an iPhone.

Yep have the I phone 4s also. And I do have motion x. And the mic is above my mirror also. Thanks for the info. Love mine also.

I'm looking forward to getting your opinion on the unit and its features once you have time to get familiar with it. I was looking into the Rosen because I wanted a display unit that looked like factory. Unfortunately they pulled the Tacoma unit from their product line until 2013.

The OttoNavi may have to be the way I go. HD radio and SAT would be nice but as long as it produces simular sound qaulity as my current JBL, has good maps, interfaces to my steering wheel, and uses my backup cam I will probably go that route.

Please let me know what you think about the unit, its display, interface and response time.... feel free to send me a PM.

    Thanks!

Wonder if the steering wheel control could be used for voice rec. on the 2012? The PAC-SP supports it on Pioneers...not sure about Kenwoods.
May hold off til Rosen puts out a model. Thanks for the tip!

I got my AVH-P8400BH installed. I also replaced the doors speakers with Alpine SPR-60C's and SPR-60's. Sounds great but now I need to get an amp & small sub

I've never really been much of a loud stereo guy but shortly after I bought my Tacoma I installed a Pioneer am/fm, cd, dvd, Ipod head unit and a Boss Audio enclosed powered sub and was pretty happy for about two years. Just recently I sold my car and spent some money on a 10" Kicker Solo Baric L7 and Kicker 1000w DX amplifier and built a custom box to fit over the tranny hump! It sounds good and looks pretty spiffy for being the first box i've ever built!

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
what does everyone think of the Pioneer SPH-DA100 AppRadio 2? i was playing with it in best buy and really like it. it dose not have nav. but i thought i could get a nav app way cheaper than a system with nav built in.
