    A "golden diff" is just his phrase for the open diff that gets him stuck. Although that hasn't stopped him from taking it off road though.

    If you are going to do some off roading with your truck you should look at getting some sort of locker for the rear end. I have taken my PreRunner off road a few times with mixed results with my open diff. I wheeled with other PreRunners that had locked rear ends and they did much better than I did. It still wasn't 4x4; but it was a noted step ahead.
