Just checked my two week old 2012 DC Short Bed 4WD V6 SR5. It has four leaf springs. Maybe they have switched over.

Starting with the 2012's , the US SR5 and Sport models get the 4 leaf pack , the Offroad still gets a 3 pack , presumably for better flex

Any suggestions on an good aftermarket 4-leaf pack similar to Toyota's? I don't want to have to change the shocks.

    Not much.
I owned an 05 Tacoma since new and just recently got the 12. This thread is extremely helpful - I didn't even know what a TSB stood for until now. Had I known I would have asked the dealer about it on the last rig. Mine has 3 and the over load already but is it possible to add a leaf without having to buy new brackets? With my snug top lid on it sags down a little and the front set to 1.75 gives it the bro lean that I hate.

Just scheduled the TSB to be done on my truck while I'm up North on vacation. Wish I had the 5100's already, but oh well. One thing at a time.

I have a 2012 DCLB TRDSport with 3 leafs but put a set of airbags on. Do you guys think I should pull the bags off before taking the truck in to discuss getting the TSB done? The bags definitely helped a lot but I think having the proper springs would also help a good bit as I tow and haul motorcycles often

    Interesting

I thought all the 2012 Sports and SR5's were coming with the 4 leaf pack installed

I have a 2012 4X4 Access Cab SR5 4 cyl built in Texas. It has the 3 pack rear springs. I haven't put a load in it yet to see how bad the ride is, but I do notice a slight bounce or stutter in the suspension when I hit a bump going down the freeway. Could this be from the weak springs?

I had to put the bags in the rear so that the truck would stop looking like it was in the final stages of lift off. And that was only with about 450 lbs (one bike + some gear) in the bed and two sport bikes on a trailer

sounds like an issue of trailer tongue weight to me.

I wish they did. I have to get mine to the dealer and get the 4 leaf packs put in. I bottomed out with 10 2x4's in the back.
