new to this....help

hi every 1 im new to this whole thing my name is corey and i drive a 07 double cab tacoma and i joined this group because im interested in doing some up grades to the truck this summer so if u have any sugestions please let me know im open to new ideas i have a few that i wana do and maybe you guys can give me some advise thnx bye

well what i really wana do right now and i think what im going to do before summer is i really wana do some sort of a front end lift now i have been looking thought this site and others and i have come to realize the best kinda lift that i can do is the toytec lift now idk if the 3" lift is going to be to much because i really wana just level out my truck and stick some of the trd sport rims on it with a nice set of tires i have that part figured out with the tires but what i really wana know is with the lift now i see u did a 3 inch lift and a diff drop and i dont wana stress my front end to much u know but what i also plan to do is a light bar and a intake and a custom exhaust

 

if all you wanna do is level your ride....go with a set of bilstein 5100's all the way around. im sure someone here will tell you what settings are stock,and which ones will make the front end level. by the way....welcome to tw!!!!

Rear leaf TSB and some spacers up front would work. Probably the cheapest route, if cost is an issue (always is with me)
With this option, there would be no need for a diff. drop.

 

not exactly sure on that man......just do a search on the product and see what you can find as the best price. performance products has them listed, but im not too sure of the price. maybe someone who has them will chime in!!

 

well im still a student and all and i wasnt looking for anything fancy i mearly wana go a good cheap route thats cost effective and looks good works well and so on with out doing a heck of alot of work or money i dont plan on throwing big tires on there i wana do the stock 17's for the sport modle then do like a bfgood... on that

 

There are a lot of inexpense options/combinations out there that you can install yourself if you have some mechanical abillity and relatively basic tools.

 

Do you plan to take it off roading?

 

hardly i live on a farm and i would really just like a more level look to it and then if i ever did do some light off roading and or go thoguht the snow i dont really have to worry because i will get that extra clearance my bigest thing is leveling it like im thinking a 2.5" spacer to be safe for my ball joints and things like that and i would like the sport rims because i like the look of them over the stock 1s i have

 

well i was thinking of stayin away from the poly.. spacers because of over time i have no problem spending the money on something a little better like the aluminum 1s i also saw the ready lift spacers but do i really have to lift the ass end too if i measusre tire to wheel well its 3 inch difference
