Couldn't you just separate it at the u-joint and get the rear section off a 4wd truck? I was planning on getting a new shaft or just modding this one might look into getting stronger u-joints

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
not everyone can build to score spec, its hard, alot more hours and money.

i disagree, getting it tagged is pricey but building it to spec should not be.

how much does it cost to get the truck tagged?

well building it to spec will be more pricy if not doing it yourself, it takes more man hours to get to all the specs.
right? building a score tagged cage costs more than a weekend warrior cage. this is what i have known at least...

besides material size any cage should and usually are built above and beyond SCORE's guidelines.

the cage can be made of both, as long as the main structural part of the cage is 1.75.

Minimum material dimension requirements for roll cages apply to the following members of the roll cage:

    (1) Front and rear hoop
    (2) Front and rear interconnecting bars
    (3) Rear down braces
    (4) Lateral bracing
    (5) Elbow and door bars
    (6) Lower A-pillar tubes, and lower B-pillar tubes

Have you since upgraded to some ARP Studs?

I've been wanting to do this but I can't find some the right length to allow me to run spacers w/ new studs

Hopefully Mike will chime in, since his Truck is a 2nd Gen Access cab Score spec'd/tagged

I know Logan (username) truck is actually lighter then stock caged front to back (not sure on the specs of the cage tho).
