I've got plenty of that door edge trim left over from when I cut my bedsides. That may work....

well i could be wrong, because i know you live in the south, but I'm guessing the person putting the stitches in your head didn't operate a doctors office out of their kitchen?

the fact that a vendor is putting in the time to work on a product at home for a customer just shows that his business is worth our money.

i was at my best friends house, we kinda flipped the mule on it’s side in the snow. i hit my head on the cage started bleeding some. walked back to the house, looked at my head. only saw like a 1” or 1/2” cut. so we called his dad who is a doctor.:D had his dad bring some stuff home. we thought all it needed was MAYBE 1 stitch or maybe just some tape strips. no i needed 6 stitches. my mom and dad wear fine with him doing it other than going to the ER.

Got the new line today. Looks nice. Vacation for a week then I may get around to spooling it on the winch.

Always liked the look of the factory rack. The Yakima bars will be going back on, possibly even wider ones because I want to be able to carry my canoe and 2 standup paddle boards. I figured with the factory rack being the base it would be stronger than just the Yakima Q-Towers??

And the 78" bars. They will not be staying on the truck all the time.

Oh for sure! I 100% agree with that and its how my line was also spooled. The thimble is held in place with tension but its not really tight. I could probably put all my weight in to it and pull the thimble off the fairlead.

still wondering whether some sort of spacer could be safely placed behind the hawse to push it out further to the bumper...maybe even get two fairleads and longer bolts?

also was thinking about taking a BFH to the edges there

    thanks for the pics
