What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Some of us remember the big stink people made when gas gas hit the $1/gallon mark .

 

picked up a drain plug for my front diff.

 

What have I done--PUT GAS IN IT-Drive the crap out of it. Just put 2.5K on the odo in two weeks. 20mpg @ 80mph,A/C running,Tach approx 3K.
Thought that was pretty decent. SMOOTH RIDE!!!!!!!

 

Same price for multi-color? Is the size listed the same overall as stock? I wonder what colors would look best on a Pyrite Mica truck.

Put on my new XD Hoss wheels. Contrary to popular beliefs at 4wp. 16 x 8 does fit a 2009. Ha ha

 

Is it even worth filing a claim?

 

not today but late sunday night. i had a MTN dew explode in side. it was a bottle. mtn on my gauge cluster. front and back seats. pools on the back weather techs. windshield, map lights, temp gauge all over dash, center console, my ass was socking wet!!

and i was pissed off. i think my friend shook it up really good and wont tell me.

 

Not sure how insurance claims work in your state. But for here it wouldn't be worth it at all. We pay the deductable then pay the for the added points on the insurance for seven years. Way cheaper to buy a replacement or aftermarket plate bumper.

 

weld a socket on it before install this time

lets see..... $80 for a used bumper almost new

or

file claim, get raped by insurance company, possibly get dropped, pay deductible, get same bumper as before and have hard time sitting down

or

buy new plate bumper


or

buy used plate bumper for most efficient way to spend money and insure it doesn't happen again

 

Changed the front diff fluid and rotated the STTs

 

In the last few days these are the changes that were done:

-dialed my shocks
-put new tires on
-got back up alarm (for work)
-double din went in

 

Bedlined the grill. Going to color match the emblem.

 

It was $48 for multi-color and he can do special request. Responded fast to emails and shipped quick as soon as he cut them.

 

Got a new set of Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10's. I really like the look and the feel of them so far.

I just put a k&n high flow air filter in my barcelona red 2012 v6 sr5. i can't wait to get 20mpg more regularly plus a few bonus hp with such an easy mod.

 

Wired up a new switch for my bed lights.







I also wired up some foot well lights, plans for more lights through the cab.
