Slapps and I did them. Nice thing is you do not need a spring compressor to put them together. Just unwind the bottom cup. :D

Sounds good I might try to install them myself but it sounds like the AAL is a pain in the ass

You sure 'bout that? I was reading some stuff that said that 1.75" was for sure safe but if you went to 2.5" it was a crap shoot and it was taking the stock springs to too far out from ideal compression too. If you're sure of it then I'll give it a shot with just a set of front 5100's and see how it goes. That's not terribly expensive but if I get some clearance issues with the UCA's and springs it starts to get more expensive pretty quickly.

He doesn't have oem coils. They should be replaced with any lift in my opinion. I originally didn't like the stiffer ride of the eibachs but once you hit a trail you will realize why soft coils suck. If you set the 5100s to 2.5 you may have a rough ride anyway. If I were to do it all over again I would just get an Old Man Emu set up with 885 or 886 springs. If you need UCAs then you haven't spent a ton on shocks/springs.

I think he means that it's relatively inexpensive compared to 5100/Eibach or even more expensive setups so that if you do end up needing UCAs you will still have some money left over versus what you would have spend on more expensive components. I think.

Yes exactly ... sorry I forgot to put a comma there. ^ you got it though. It's cheap enough and you can get away with the factory ones for a while.

I'd love to do this! It just depends on the date! If the wife joins me, I'll be on the Yamahammer, if not... Ducatista! ;)
