Have been spending time crunching numbers and I can get my new Taco 1st of sept. If I can pick up a 5th day from my other job I can buy 1st of August.

I went thru this waiting with my other car before i bought it and man it's a beeotch.

Stick with it - you'll be happy in the end!

Hell, my truck's been in the shop since September. I feel your pain! Not sure if it's worse to wait to buy a new truck or to have said new truck and not be able to use it.

Sounds like you're smart. And I thought waiting for two weeks for truckaddons to send me my tonneau was a long time (still waiting by the way)!

A reason to post pictures? Woot! :p

It's more of a "what's going to happen". It's in the build stage so it doesn't break in the future. :D

Could have had it Sept of 2008:rolleyes: LOL I failed on that date. Now if I end up getting my Tacoma, it will be the end of July or mid August at the latest. If my 12 year old Nissan P/U breaks down before then and requires more than 200 bucks to fix anything to kep it running, I will have my Tacoma sooner, like it or not, since I'm not willing throwing miney down the toilet to keep a 12 year old POS running.

I'm still looking to see if there are any other vehicles I might be interested in instead of the Tacoma 4x4, but doubt I will find anything else I want/need/like like a new truck.

I'm almost hope my truck falls apart,.... well sorta.

Edit the trans is making weird noises lately, so who knows when it will crap out ha.

Well I've been crunching numbers lately and if things go according to plan, which they should, I'm going to order my truck the middle of next month and there should be a silver mica somewhere within 300 miles of me. Right now there is one about 35 miles away but dunno if it will still be there or not. in 5 weeks. Be getting it just in time too because after several months, I finally decided on what tire size and what style/brand of mud terrains to get. Finally decided after changing my mind a couple hundred times that running 285/75/16's with a 4" backspace is going to rub too much on the body mount for my liking, so I'm going with 265/75's. If I do order it middle of next month, I should have pics of all the mods within a few days after I pick it up. I actually bought the Pro Comp wheels on sale Christmas of 2007, yes '07 LOL. Have lots of other mods collecting dust too for the last year+++.

The day after I pick it up it's going in for clearbra for the sides. Next day will be window tint day and the 3rd day will be the Revtec lift and alignment, next day I get to grind my calipers down and install the chrome bumper, grill, skidplate, pedal covers and some other niffty stuff. It's going to be so bad ass when it's done I will probablly not drive my other car for the rest of the year.

Still kinda wish I would have bought 4.5" backspace for 33's:rolleyes: Oh well it's just a little 4 banger so it's probably for the best anyway.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ya, I hate waiting which is why I usually do things on a whim. When I got my truck I think I went and checked out all the trucks I wanted to in one day, came home and grabbed my dad day 2 and went and bought the Taco. I have great respect for you, I know I couldnt do it, if I wait I tend to change my mind a million times, thats why I say screw it and bite the bullet.

I admire your patience. I saw my truck about 6-10 months before I bought it... I told my wife... "Thats my dream truck right there" because we lived right behind the lot. Strangely enough it was the general managers truck, and when we started looking around at different dealerships, we finally came in to them and he offered it to us! It was supposed to be his, but for some reason (wife used to work there, mother was former finance manager) he offered it to us! Needless to say.... I didn't care how much, I just wanted it! haha We got a great deal though.

    The wait is over!!!!!

Well almost picking up my Tacoma at 4:00 tomorrow because they have to take it from another nearby lot.

    So freaking happy!!:D

Ended up getting the payments much less than I thought. I didn't know my credit score was so high.

I will post pics of my modded toy Sunday.
