I think I am buying a Gravely 48 ZT XL in the next couple weeks. Buying a house on a 10 ac lot with at least 5 ac to mow on a regular basis.

I picked up a Gravely Pro Turn 148 this Spring. It mows in two hours what used to take me all day.

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
we have 2 push mowers. craftsman Self Propelled i hate it! only works on flat ground. PITA to pull it backwards. like if you are mowing a back or something. other one we got at lowes. i like it a lot more. its a lot lighter, and i can get the same job done in a little less time. 20 min or so.

we also have a nice big commercial grade Kubota z turn diesel. 60” cut.

Do you know how many acres you mow? Trying to correlate claimed production time with actual.

Two and a half acre lot, most being lawn.

As an aside, I wasn't able to mow for a couple weeks and the grass was damned near a foot tall. The machine ran as when I mow weekly.

Damn! So 2 hours for 2.5 acres. I will have 5 acres which at your pace would be about 4 hours. Thats gonna blow!

This is more tamed field than lawn and used to take me a whole day with other machines. No complaints here!

Yeah, 2/3 of the 5 acres is paddocks. We'll see what happens.

Bought a Gravely ZT 54 XL on Saturday! Only put 2 hours on it so far. Loved watching my wife drive it around with an ear to ear grin. She says she wants to mow too.

I have been mowing four acres with my Wizard 42" for ten years, its just starting to break parts. Bought a Husqvarna zero turn to replace it and I love it, hope it holds up half as long as the Wizard.

My dad bought a reconditioned Lawn-Boy push mower in the late 80's. He used it regularly on 1.5 acres until 2000, when he got a Murray riding mower from me for Father's Day..still used it now and then to trim and whatnot. He gave it to my brother in law 2 years ago, who used it to mow nearly 3 acres until it died 6 months ago.

I HATE Craftsman..mine broke the self-propelled at 2 yrs old (I have an acre)..they "fixed" it, it broke again in 5 minutes.

I inherited the tractor back with a bum transmission..bought one with a junk mower to fix it for $200. Come to find out the "compression issue" in the one I bought was loose spark plugs. I sold the 2 basket bagger for $100 and use the 3 basket one from my dad's. Now I just have to figure out why it drops too much fuel..there's no air-fuel mixture screw so my guess is flooding.
