I got 1.5" lift shackles (6") with my all-pro expos, and I despised the shackle angle that resulted.... I think longer shackles are great if the shackle angle is kept in check (ie: move rear mount or change length of leaves). But the longer the shackle, the less overall stability you'll have in the rear suspension... :notsure:

Ian has the Allpro standard leafs tho..so he should be fine with 1'' shackles.

Well you have a good looking tacoma there!!
The Fabtech kit comes with a leaf and block in the rear + their shocks. I'd like to take all the shit off and put a custom Alcan leaf pack in the back with 5100s.

ya the Fabtech Kit comes with a bunch of shit for the rear of the lift. I actually don't like any part of that lift really. But its not bad.

There's alot of people who off road regularly that don't. But i want mine to clear 35s with ZERO cutting and i have no use for a straight axle....So fabtech makes a good choice. Overall i just want the brackets. I'd like to eventually change out the front shocks for 5100 as well.

Problem with drop brackets lifts is they have no suspension travel in the front. Especially up travel. I was looking at my buddy's fabtech on his tacoma and it had maybe 2" before it hit the bumpstop.

Pretty sure you cant use 5100s with that lift..but I'm not really sure. A better upgrade would be some extended coil overs

    Cool thanks Chris!

Well travel is one thing im not too worries about - the trucks main use id driving on pavement and hauling a bike to and from a track. No like im gona be jumping it :p

yeahpp Coil overs would be a great addition too - of course with any lift, some people don't like it and some do. I've never met someone in person who didn't like it, only on TTORA & TW. The fact is running a 3" lift on 33s just wont do it for me. Realistically i should SAS but i'll never rock crawl and that could also make the ride shitttyy.

Whats wrong with 3'' and 33s? All your doing is driving on the pavement and hauling a bike :D haha

I really like the 33 3'' combo. I think it looks the best and can require very little trimming if done right. Plus you'd hardy have any rubbing if your not off roading.

i will. Im meeting with my buddy tonight to look at them. He has done it like 3 times already and showed me pics. Looks much easier AND since the green non rolled cabs flooring isn't near as nice as my rolled one. Ill get to keep that  So no having to clean and fix floors and cutting up the tunnel.

Not really. Just decided to do it last night haha

Ill cut the body at the A pillars and then the rear is just spot welded on. Just drill out the spot welds and the whole top/back of the cab comes right off. Do it to both cab then just reweld on the unrolled top to my silver bottom.

I get to keep my VIN and i don't have to make the tranny tunnel larger or do any major modifications other then the chop.
