Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't really care. I haven't seen any millionaires or billionaires on welfare or at soup kitchens. Instead, even with supposed high taxes, they're living a lifestyle (mansions, yachts, airplanes, first-class travel & accommodations, etc) 99% of us (the vast majority in this world) will never obtain. As such, I'm just not tuned to the violin music either of you want me to hear along with your sad stories about the rich.

The answer is not more taxes, the answer is fewer outlays.

I sit firmly planted in the middle class. I don't have any sad stories about the rich. If everyone paid their fair share, they might care a little more about what the gov. does with their money. Its easy to say just give some more money to those people and spend some more here when it isn't your money and you havn't paid much if anything into the system.

Look, I'm all for getting people off welfare and similar. However, lowering taxes for the wealthy while increasing taxes for everyone else is certainly not going to do that.

Considering what taxes we do pay goes to shitty govt programs, I'm happy with paying as little as possible. If the govt was more responsible and disciplined I could see where it would make more sense to pay a tad more. But to assume the rich do not pay their fair share is simply not true.

I live just like you do... your ranting is absolute nonsense... your talking about the liberal elite, guys like Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Hollywood trash. Most millionaires I know, including myself live VERY frugally. We aren't the one percent, however we provide employment to the 99%. We are not your problem.

I'm very happy that I made the right decisions in my financial life and retired in my 30's, the product of working class parents and a state college education (not Stanford, not Harvard - like the liberal elite who still owe the government for their student loans)... don't be bitter my friend - don't blame those who have more than you, for your life situation. Until the socialists take over all small business in America, you can still live the dream if you work smart and hard.

Like all of us, the wealthy are taxed based on their money, not the use of roads, public transit, or the other stuff you mentioned. Again, they control much of the wealth in this country, so obviously should pay more taxes. They're taxed at an even higher rate because they have a much greater disposable income, even after buying mansions, yachts, and so on.

Liberalism, Socialism and Canadianism - all mental disorders... Those of you on TW who suffer from these afflictions - DON'T WORRY!!! there is help (except for Canadianism) stop listening to CNN and take down your bedroom posters of Anderson Cooper in a speedo... that's a start - remember it's one day at a time!
