I think we should do a one for one swap of fat lazy Americans not willing to pull their own weight for immigrants willing to come in legally and work their butt off daily. :D

I think Canadians should give their entire paychecks to the US from protecting them from illegal mexican immigration... makes about as much sense as.... the OP saying we Americans should all pay more income tax.

Who in the heck said the wealthy are my problem? You need to read over the messages again. Several here are suggesting the wealthy should pay less taxes, while I've repeated said that won't fix ANY problem - other than perhaps making the wealthy even richer.

So much fucking derp in this thread... People calling for a flat tax without understanding one thing about it other than the fact that the percentage looks the same... People throwing around words like Socialist and Conservative and Liberal, intentionally using them as insults, like a fucking child would do...

Jesus tits, way to go OZ!

The rich are who employ 99% of Americans. With less taxes for them/their corporations, they can employ more people. Which in turn, creates more tax revenue.

Don't lump the liberal elite and Holloywood trash in with American Millionaires - it's erroneous and disrespectful. That is my point. The wealthy will always pay less % of their income in taxes than the middle class - We aren't socialists, yet. That gives you the incentive to establish a business and take advantage of the tax liability write off's... allowing the business to grow, prosper and HIRE!

Derp? And my comments are childish? What experience do you have running a private business and how many people did you hire that were jobless recently? I appreciate your service to the country and you should appreciate mine.

implement a national sales tax and drop income tax. Only get taxed on the things you buy.

Nobody would buy anything inside our borders, flat income tax, flat property tax, flat sales tax, then nobody can bitch about what someone else is paying.

Great stuff... Eliminate my $60k in commercial property taxes annually in exchange for me hiring two people on unemployment - much better use of money IMO

Oh, and you Tax the shit out of foreign goods. solves that problem too.

I don't think that would ever happen, so I'd be happy with a flat tax across the board too.
